About Us

At 2239 St. Claude Ave, No Dice has carved out a reputation as one of the best small music venues in New Orleans, and the regulars will tell you exactly why. The sound is dialed in, the lighting hits right, and the bar doesn't gouge you. That combination is rarer than it should be.

The room gets tight when three bands roll in with full gear rigs, but the staff make it work every time. Helpful, accommodating, and genuinely kind are words that come up again and again from touring musicians and local fans alike. There's a bucket of free earplugs at the door because the people who run this place actually want you to come back with your hearing intact.

No Dice draws a crowd that knows what it wants: real shows in a real room with no attitude at the door. From punk and hardcore to indie and experimental, the booking reflects the energy of the neighborhood and the city. Catch a show on a Tuesday. Stay until 2 AM. You'll get it.

What We Offer

No Dice runs shows seven nights a week, opening at 3 PM daily and keeping the doors open until 2 AM. The bar is stocked and reasonably priced, the kind of place where you can catch four bands and still have cash left for a late-night slice.

The venue hosts live music events across genres, with a lean toward punk, hardcore, and independent acts passing through New Orleans. Local bands and touring groups share the same stage, and the sound and lighting setup gets consistent praise from performers and fans. Private event bookings are available for the right fit.

The bar and grill keeps things moving with food and drinks that don't require a reservation or a dress code. Show up, order a drink, and let the music do the rest.

"One of the best venues in the city for small shows. Great atmosphere and reasonably priced drinks. Appreciate that they have a bucket of free earplugs at the door since I’m trying not to go deaf by 40. There’s a photobooth! I also had my wedding here and it was an incredible rager of an evening and the owners were super accommodating. 10/10 would recommend it as an off-beat venue for the more alternative bride. We had the event catered by ChiChis and they did great too!"

"No Dice rules. The staff are so kind and amazing. My band came through and played a show - it was tight for having 3 bands with lots of gear and stuff but the staff were so helpful and accommodating. They made us feel welcomed. They made the guests feel welcomed too. Super cool to see. Staff made some great drinks too. Make it a stop!!! Tons of charm and a fun place to hang."

"Great music venue. For locals, it's the old Hi Ho lounge on St. Claude. Bar is nice, old, dark wood with a high stage and a large area for viewing/dancing. They also have some shows other than live music (like burlesque) or at least they used to. Check out their website for events. Good sound, cool bar, recommend. Additionally, there 3 more bars within a block, and even more within close walking distance."
